Ambeth picked me up 2:00 PM and brought me to his condo unit in Makati, where I took photos of him for the third portrait in my series of portraits of writer-friends. I then chose and measured a wall that the painting would hang on, and we went to the framers' to order the cradled canvas.

Now back home.
