Had an egg mayo salad (as opposed to a submarine sandwich) and a canned Pepsi at M.'s cafe. M.'s mother is staying at the staff quarters overnight. Ronel is off to Zambales for schooling.

A man in his 40s, a regular customer of the cafe, came and greeted me before sitting down to his buckets of six light beers and ice at a table. I fully recognized him only 15 minutes later. He was a classmate of my elder son Nelson, and the last time I recall seeing him was when he was 12 years old.

Quite strange how some people remain children in my memory.
