Talent blossoms to the full only if one also has the following:

--a lot of time, if not all the time in the world

--the right resources

--more than enough money to eat three meals a day, pay one's bills, and provide for one's needs

--adequate rest and a good night's sleep

--solitude, and, if I may say so, freedom from having to compromise with others who demand attention, such as a spouse or partner.
