The 7-11 branch across EDSA, on the corner of P. Tuazon Boulevard, shut down during the pandemic. There are other establishments there--Seaoil and Barriotic among them--and I wonder how they are doing.

In the 1950s that area was a shopping complex called Argo. Di Marks Pizza, a book store, and a bar were located there and, years later, a rock band hangout named Club Dredd, a photography shop, an antique furniture store run by Erlinda Lagman of Baguio City, and a funeral parlor. It seems that all went bankrupt and shut down. The urban legend was that the area was cursed.

Still waiting to see what happens next.
