I love the way Rolando Tinio practiced Tagalog. I was 17 when he began mentoring me in playwriting. One of the things he taught me was the two possible pronunciations of the word "suliranin". 

According to Rolando, "SU-li-ra-nin" would refer to one particular, small problem, while "su-li-RA-nin" would refer to a bigger problem or a compendium of different problems.
