At our side entrance

Our three pairs of "mag-asawang duwende" function as sentinels to the metal spirit house above Design Toscano's Ent, which my youngest granddaughter calls "Grandpa" whenever she sees it. At its feet is our antique, brass, Maranao hut.

The spirit house Is filled with coins, and is actually a heavy, iron, table lantern that I bought at Rustan's Gift Pavilion a long time ago. I light tea lights in a glass holder inside it at night.

The set-up also represents the three realms of existence on the Tree of Life (Lower, Middle, and Upper).
