Watched "Endangered" and "Deleted Scenes" from Grimm. A series of 27 cattle mutilations all the way from Nebraska through Oregon has occurred. A glowing, blue Wesen called a Gluhenvolk has been harvesting cow ovaries to feed his pregnant wife. Both of them are on the run; the wife will crave cow ovaries until the baby is born. Witnesses insist that the Gluhenvolk they saw is an alien. An alien hunter even arrives on the scene, but we later learn that he, too, is another kind of Wesen who hunts and kills other Wesens. Nick, Monroe, and Rosalee rescue the Gluhenvolk, his wife, and their baby which they deliver before the alien hunter attacks them and is shot by Nick.

In an earlier scene, Nick shows Monroe Aunt Marie's key and the map prints he made off them. Monroe shows him a map of Bavaria he's had for some time and is illustrated in the same style as the prints. In another scene, Nick and Captain Renard discuss the six other keys; four are with the Royal Family, one is with Nick, and therefore two remain unaccounted four. Captain Renard informs Nick that the seven keys will enable their owner to have control of the world. He mentions that the keys are said to lead to treasure buried in Germany in the 13th century, and that the treasure could be the secret of alchemy, everlasting life, the sword of the prophet Mohammed, or the nails of the Cross including a piece of the Cross. (Quite strange that I have magic rings instead of keys and that I have the complete Clavo en corona set.)

In the meantime Juliette remembers even more scenes from her past with Nick, but is now hesitant to approach Nick because of the shabby way she's been treating him. She finally asks Monroe what a Grimm is.

There is a lovely fade-from-white shot early on in the episode.

In "Deleted Scenes" there is a close-up of the actor playing the alien hunter with yellow spots all over his face and an editor's cue to insert his morphing into a Wesen there.

Wondering why they followed the immediately preceding episode, which has a glowing, red Volcanalis, with this one, which has a glowing, blue Gluhenvolk.

And why, for the past few episodes, is there a speckled crystal ball on Captain Renard's desk?
