Unfortunately, when you rant against someone or something in social media, people Click on Like and Comment on your Posting--and then they will leave it at that, as though the ranting, the Liking, and the Commenting had already solved the problem.

You get sympathizers, but no real action is taken by anyone, including yourself.

It's filing cabinet mentality.
