Lit morning joss sticks. The Tao deities asked me to turn on the lamps at our Chinese altar. Replenished the alkaline drinking water in vessels at two other altars.

Everyone said that the only way to prosperity is to honor one's ancestors, and that it is too sad that many people have no other recourse but to abandon their deceased in public cemeteries.
