This image of Ti' T'sang, Tao god of the underworld who escorts lost souls to their destination, stands above our antique, cobalt blue jar at our side entrance and will remain there through the end of Hungry Ghosts Month.
The image was made of molded silk fibers and afterward lacquered. I bought this in Chinatown while on lunch break from work at the U.S. Embassy more than ten years ago. It was offered to me by an old shopkeeper who knew I was interested in curiosities.
