I stopped buying books at the age of 50, consequently became richer, and became no less wiser than I would have been had I continued buying books. I realized that being a slave to books was like being a slave to credit cards.
At the same age of 50 I also started giving away cartons of books that I read only once in my life and never felt like reading again.
I now prefer diamonds to books.
