Retrieved Murder in Retrospect to reread in bed tonight, then, a few pages in, realized that it's Five Little Pigs retitled, about an eccentric painter possibly patterned after Picasso. Since I remember who the murderer was, I returned it and retrieved Elephants Can Remember instead.
