Finished rereading Destination Moon and Explorers on the Moon last night. A milestone tandem, considering that it was conceived and executed decades before man actually landed on the moon. Many illustrations are off--they're not what NASA laboratories, stations, and equipment look like today--but remain magnificent works of comic book art anyway. Colonel Boris Jorgen (the villain in King Ottokar's Sceptre) makes an appearance in the latter volume.
This tandem is more cohesive and well thought-out than the tandem The Secret of the Unicorn and Red Rackham's Treasure (contrived) and The Blue Lotus and TinTin in Tibet (disjointed).
