Finished watching China's Hospital on Netflix despite the number of bad reviews it received. A good Halloween screening, though, if you ask me. The way to enjoy it is to pretend you're on a ghost train riding through a tunnel of horrific surprises. There is no main plot, only a handful of subplots, like snatches of anecdotes from one's subconscious, which is interesting in itself.

The Taoist medium and his son, I find, had too many charms and gadgets and bottled water and oil for my comfort. I can't imagine myself going on a Spirit Quest with all that baggage.
