Doesn't someone spray the floor and corners of the rooms with insecticide regularly? It often takes days before you see its effect. And there are, of course, other substances in rooms that are toxic to insects.

I saw the photos. There is something unusual about them. Avoid over-reading the supernatural in the natural.

Incidentally, that is not a centipede. It is a millipede.
