Finished the first Charlie Bone novel today. I enjoyed it except for the protracted ending, which seemed like the author didn't know exactly how to end it--or wanted to end it in several ways.
Now reading another Charlie Bone novel. Am reading the three books out of sequence and I am right: in a long series, the first book is the best and will always remain so.
