Dinner at home with Angelique and Jazz; Aubrey ordered food from outside and is taking her dinner upstairs.

It was Aubrey's second day of class.

Angelique and Jazz painted one wall of Angelique's bedroom; two more walls to go. I let them go through the process of choosing their own paint color at the depot, buying paint, brushes, and a roller, and do the painting themselves. Angelique has also been buying stuff for her bedroom off her weekly allowance lately: a throw rug, bed linen, and incidental decor.

We have to let our children and grandchildren do their own rooms when they want to. It's the only way their personalities can shine through. And teaching them that doing a room is a lot of hard work.
