Finished rereading The Blue Lotus last night. A LONG TinTin saga. Didn't like the politico-military angle but I love all that picturesque art. Chang Chong-Chen makes his first appearance here. Herge had an actual friend Chang in real life, and, like TinTin and Chang, they became close friends forever.

Also finished rereading TinTin in the Land of the Soviets last night. A very early TinTin in black-and-white. The adventure was ridiculous and meant to be comedic, of course. I wonder, though, how my Russian friends would like this episode.
