If by proof you mean scientific evidence, there is none, no more than there is scientific evidence about the existence of God, angels, devils, heaven, and hell. All we have are testimonies such as those from persons who had near-death experiences, from astral travelers, from visionaries, and the like.

No religion on this planet has ever offered such proof especially in the light of philosophy, clinical psychology, and hi-res photographs taken from explorations of outer space, which bring us no images of either living beings or spirits. And then there is the question of socio-anthropology and the diversity of culture, all the way from the Egyptians to the Tibetans, providing an array of beliefs regarding the matter. 

Everything depends, therefore, on who you are talking to and who you trust enough to believe. It is pointless to engage in arguments with other people on the subject Christians, for example, will always fall back on what is written in the Bible.

I am assuming that you are a Christian, If it is any consolation to you, note that in the New Testament, during the supper at Emmaus, when the resurrected Christ appeared to his apostles, one of them said, "We thought you were a ghost."
