Had I not been retired and a hermit I would conduct a three-day master workshop on wands for selected Spirit Questors.

Oh, the wonders that wands can yield if only people would get rid of the stereotype, "Abracadabra" image!

Yet, the use of wands does not exist in Philippine magic because:

--Scepters are associated with authority, and Philippine magic came into being essentially as a proletariat, rebellious movement against authority

--Wands can be perceived as phallic symbols, and Philippine magic practitioners are fundamentally masculinist, chauvinist, and homophobic.
