My favorite time of the day has come again: an evening shower, and then smuggling in bed with Agatha Christie.

Finished reading Black Coffee last night. It was all right, but very stagey. Charles Osborne retained as much of the play as Agatha Christie wrote it--meaning, yards and yards of dialogue interspersed with descriptions that read like stage directions. The original author's knack for charaterization and clever twists were nonetheless there.

Reading The Listerdale Mystery tonight. I seem to recall that it was sold under another title in the USA, meaning that I'd already read it, but I'll be glad to reread it anyway.
